Katherine A. Schwab, is a professor of art history in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. She recieved her bachelor’s degree from Scripps College followed by a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University and Ph.D. from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. She is a member of the Managing Committee of the ASCSA.
In 2005 Dr. Schwab began experimenting with graphite and pastel pencil on paper to develop a new method of recording her observations of the Pathenon east and north metopes. Through the process of drawing, Schwab has made new observations and discoveries that have contributed to our larger understanding of the east and north metope series (to read the full bio, please click here).
